Credit for Making a Difference

By tutoring under SynYouth, you’re giving a child more opportunities in their career, education, and life by teaching them English. The least we can do is help you get credit for it.

As a nonprofit organization, we’re able to provide emails and sign paperwork confirming community service as needed, provided you’ve been making reports on TutorCruncher of each lesson.

If you’re a tutor who wants your service hours verified, please send an email to support@synyouth.org with the subject line ‘Service Hours Verification Request’ at least 5 days before you need the proof of your hours.

In the body of the email, include the name of each job on TutorCruncher (‘Clase 50,’ ‘Clase 104,’ etc.) that you want us to verify hours for. Please also make sure to include any specifics about the information you need from us (handwritten signature, addressed to a certain person, etc.)

After verifying your hours, the customer service team sends back a community service verification email, again with any specific information you requested.

This is the basic format:

This email is to validate the number of hours [Name] has volunteered for SynYouth by teaching 1-1 online English classes to kids in Latin America. Our tutors teach their students following a curriculum created by a certified ESL teacher, including grammar lessons, vocabulary lists, and activities.
